Shipping Agency Services at Port-Louis, Mauritius

Since our creation, we have represented the interest of several ship owners, Managers, Charterers and other operators at Port-Louis, Mauritius; delivering outstanding quality service.

As Owners’ agent/Charterers’ agents:

  • We assure that ship’s turnaround is fast in supervising all aspects of the port call – all necessary information/regulations about port and documentation is forwarded to Master, daily follow ups and synchronisation of operations with all concerned stakeholders.  
  • Attending to vessel’s dry docking, repairs, under water inspection and hull cleaning  
  • Ships husbandry services

The port authority is offering special incentive schemes as far as port charges is concerned to ships calling Port-Louis, Mauritius for: 

Bunkering, ship supplies, loading of fresh water in Port-Louis, Mauritius

Bunkering is carried at anchorage (through barge) or at berth whole year round on a 24/7 basis, WP.  To attract more traffic as regards to bunkering, the port authority has discounted port charges for a period of 48 hours as from time of arrival of vessel in port.  Major bunker suppliers at Port-Louis are Indian Oil (Mauritius) Ltd, Vivo Energy and Engen and Total.  As shipping agent, our operation team liaise with all concerned parties in processing necessary documents and assure timely attendance by suppliers.  

We support our Principal, logistically, in arranging delivery of provisions and stores at anchorage.  Service provider of fresh water can arrange delivery of fresh water at berth or anchorage.  

Crew change or disembarking sick, injured, dead seaman and attending to armed/unarmed security personnel in Port-Louis, Mauritius

For vessels calling at outer harbour for crew change, rebated port charges are applied.  We cater for immigration formalities in arranging for travel documents, ‘OK-TO- BOARD’; repatriation, conveyance of crew to/from airport, access to port.    Our long trading relationship with hotels assures most competitive rates.  Daily available flights support these operations. 

Sick seamen are treated in local clinics offering high level of service and professionalism; daily reports on health status are sent to Ship’s owners until recovery and repatriation. 

Maritime security operations, both armed and unarmed, have been categorised under crew change by the port authority supporting government’s endeavour to combat piracy.

Vessels calling for repairs  and owing to stress of weather

The port authority are also providing incentive schemes to vessels calling Port-Louis, outer roads, for repairs or due to bad weather conditions

Clearing and forwarding of spares/Haulage of spares

All spares arriving per air freight are handled by our sub-office situated at the airport; which deals with incoming and outgoing freights.  This assures timely delivery to vessels transiting via Port-Louis.  This office caters for all logistics requirements - customs clearance and haulage of ships spares till delivery on board vessels; be the vessel is at berth or anchorage

Incentive scheme for vessels/Oil Rigs staying at Port-Louis awaiting employment

The port authority has approved an incentive scheme for bulkers and oil rigs staying at outer anchorage while awaiting employment.  The incentive scheme allows for the following:  

(i) Capping the gross tonnage of the vessels to 35000 tonnes and (ii) allowing a discount of 50% on anchorage dues during vessels' stay.
